This is my first blog as a blogger and we all know,the first piece is extremely important. You are judged on its basis. So i chose to express my thoughts about trying too hard.
I thought for weeks about what i should write about. I have been writing and tearing pages all week, trying to rack my brains and coming up with the perfect piece for my debut. In fact I had a rather interesting session of brain storming with my family which turned into a philosophy class(isn't that always the case?)
So anyway, it ended with me being frustrated and annoyed. So after i was done flooding the house with my tears my Mum said," I think i know what your problem is. You are TRYING TOO HARD! So stop! And just be yourself! And stop flooding the house! Kidding!".
Well that helped, A LOT! I posted this,didn't I?
That's the thing! We all try too hard to make a great first impression! We try to make everything perfect,but sometimes that's just not possible! Nobody's perfect! And trying too hard-backfires. Trust me! My profile has been on since a week and 8 people have already viewed my profile and discovered there is not a single post! I didn't post anything because i was too worried about how my post will be rated,whether it will be rated or not. And the worst one was-what if nobody sees it!
I stopped trying too hard and wrote what was on my mind! I swear I didn't open the dictionary even once to come up with a fancy word! But i did spend half an hour on the background template!
So yes, this is me! This is how I think. Be sure to let me know what you think! And if there is something you want to do, go ahead and do it! Don't worry about not being perfect! Nobody is!(I think).
Don't stop trying,
But please stop crying!
You won't be a fool,
You will look very cool!
